Betsy is a Winter Texan this year, watching the birds and working with Jeremy again in his printshop in the lively island town of Port Aransas, on the Gulf Coast of Texas—near Corpus Christi and Padre Island. Brown Pelicans are local favorites, diving for fish and swimming with the dolphins in the shipping channel. They are still an endangered species. Anybody close by come visit us—we are part of the Port A Glass Studio and Art Gallery, right in the middle of town, next to The Gaff Pirates Cove Bar. Belt sander races again this Saturday in the back yard—really, it’s worth the trip! Otherwise see you next summer in Grand Marais—call or email Betsy Bowen Studio anytime, we haven’t forgotten you just because it’s winter!

Our doors are open for the Crossing Borders Studio Tour starting today September 23 and running through October 2! Betsy will be here demonstrating her printing techniques.  Guest artist Peter Pestalozzi has his wonderful furniture on display Sept 30 – Oct 2. Hope to see you!
